Google and Apple banned millions of apps from their own store. Pixalate's  H1 2021  Delisted Mobile App Report reveals that more than 813,000 apps have been removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store in the first six months of 2021. More than 8 lakh of these apps have been downloaded more than a billion times from Google Play Store before they are delisted.

According to the report,  86 percent of Google Play Store and 89 percent of Apple App Store mobile apps targeted children aged 12 and under. It has also been observed that 25 percent of Play Store apps and 59 percent of app store apps do not have a privacy policy. 

The report also said that 26 percent of apps were removed from the Russian Google Play Store and 60 percent were listed in the App Store in China. There was no privacy policy in china's app store.


Of the apps that have been removed, 66 percent of the apps had at least one dangerous permission. These harmful permissions are also called runtime permissions. With this,  these applications can easily access your phone's data. Due to which the functioning of the system and other apps begins to be affected. The removed apps include many apps that accessed cameras. There was also a GPS coordinate among these apps. But if your phone also has these apps, delete them now.
