In Jessore, a case has been filed against seven officials of Ring ID for embezzling money through fraud. Another 10-15 people have been made unidentified accused in the case.

Shimul Kumar Biswas, son of Sukumar Biswas of Dikdana village in Jhikargachha Upazila, filed the case with Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station on Saturday (October 2).


The accused are Shariful Islam and Saiful Islam, two sons of Sirajul Islam of Kalai Nagar village of Banjarampur Upazila of Brahmanbaria district. , Rafiqul Islam, son of Monir Uddin Sheikh of Kashinathpur village in Santhia Upazila of Pabna, Nazmul Hossain, son of Sajid Miah of Ring ID Office and Municipal Ward No. 4 of Habiganj district town. All the accused work in the office of Ring ID located in C / 5 / A flat, 6 / A Road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.


Plaintiff Shimul Kumar Biswas alleged that he saw an advertisement on his mobile phone while chatting with friends on the afternoon of March 5 this year. It is said in the advertisement- if you see 100 advertisements every day, you will be paid 500 rupees. And it will take 16 thousand rupees to buy an ID. If you deposit money, you will get a ring ID wallet for virtual membership. Seeing that advertisement, he bought 16 IDs. Seeing the advertisement there, he has deposited three and a half lakh rupees. But it was mentioned that the money can be withdrawn from the wallet once a week. But even though he has deposited three and a half lakh rupees so far, he is not able to withdraw that money. When contacted at the Ring ID office, they said there is a problem now, the money can be withdrawn later. He has filed a case with the police station as he has not been able to withdraw any money so far.

 

Kotwali Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Tasmeem Alam said a case has been registered against seven officials of an organization called Ring ID for embezzling money. No arrests have been made yet.
